We just got back from a very busy trip to Utah. It is not often that we go to one place and have to split our time between both sides of the family, but it did happen this trip. We had been plannign for a few months to go to Utah at this time for Cherie's wedding. As time drew near we sadly found out Grandma Verla passed away and her funeral was going to be while we were already in Utah. Her funeral was sad, because we will miss her. She was fun to be around, fun to talk to. She showed her love and concern to others to the very end. However, her funeral was also a celebration of her life, her legacy lives on in her family. Everyone was happy for her because she is now where she wants to be, with her husband and daughter and son.
After her funeral we had a family dinner and family pictures taken at Thanksgiving Point. Here are a few of my snapshots from the day.
Cherie was married to Eli Rhoades on July 25th. she looked beautiful and the wedding was great. here are some pictures from that day. Another HOT day! It was 100 degrees and the kids were having a hard time, but we managed to get a few good pictures.

The day after Cherie's wedding was my dear friend Lora's wedding. Her wedding was a happy surprise to this trip. She and her now husband Jeremy decided to plan it pretty quickly since his parents were in town from out of state and the time was good for Lora's family as well. I was thrilled that I was able to be there to see her tie the knot.

You were SO busy. I wish I'd been able to spend a little more time with you. Maybe sooner rather than later. It was good to see you and your cute kids though..... It makes me miss you tons.
"Utah Trip"???? What happened to "Two Weddings and a Funeral"? Only teasing. What beautiful brides! Congrats to them both.
Your sister looks so beautiful - you all look alike to me at least you, Cherie, and Alana the ones I've seen - all so beautiful with great smiles:) Weddings are fun, but at the same time you can breathe a little sigh of relief that everyone is married now and you don't have to go to another one:)
I can't believe how much you look like your sister. Thanks for coming to see us while you were in Utah. We miss cute little Phoebe's smile already. We really need to come see you in Washington so we will have more time to spend together. Erik was so happy to see Chad. We miss you guys but are grateful when we get to see you.
Sorry to hear about your grandma! It's always interesting to see the circle of life when funerals share the time with weddings! Your sister looks so beautiful! And just like you! See you soon!
